A training course was organized for contractors of the "Ulaanbaatar Urban Services and Ger Areas Development Investment Program" project to provide an understanding of gender equality, the right to work, and the prevention of sexual harassment in the workplace. A total of 62 construction workers participated in the training, including 18 female workers.
During the training, the Social and Gender Specialist of the Project consultant team provided knowledge and information about the Asian Development Bank's social security policy, labor rights, and gender equality in labor relations. The training also covered topics such as labor exploitation and sexual harassment in the workplace and methods for preventing them. Moreover, real cases, exercises, and a sample of the internal procedures against sexual harassment were provided, and group discussions made the training more effective.
